Great Theatre this week!

If you have a free evening in the next few days/weeks be sure to check out two excellent productions currently on Tucson Stages. Over at Arizona Theatre Company is the world premiere production of “Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Suicide Club.” Performance are at the Temple of Music and Art, 330 South Scott Avenue through October 8. I caught a preview performance this past weekend and was very happy with the performance. The great cast delivers  on all fronts, and the mystery keeps you guessing right up until the end.

Another great show to catch is Broadway In Tucson’s opening season show, “West Side Story.” Only in town till the 25th of September, there are not many chances to see this top-notch production of the 50-year old musical. Following a strong Broadway run, this production is a delight with strong vocals & dancing and excellent staging. Amazing, this production seems even more timely than when it was first staged. The inclusion of some Spanish language dialog is fantastic and adds depth to the classic tale of forbidden love.
